Guerin Catholic High School was founded in 2004 and occupies more than 70 acres in Noblesville, Indiana. This college prep school offers students the opportunity to lead and serve and provides a challenging academic program. The school strongly believes in the role that athletics play in the development of a young person’s life provides two dozen varsity sports which enjoy participation from more than 75% of the student body.
Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and Franciscan Health partner to provide expert care for the training and medical needs of all the Guerin student athletes. Athletic trainers from Franciscan Health tend to athletes' needs, while Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics provides physician champions – David Porter, MD and Jonathan Smerek, MD to evaluate, care for and help prevent student injuries.
“We strive to provide the best opportunities for our student-athletes on and off the playing field and our partnership with Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and Franciscan Health allows us to do that," said Ryan Davis, athletic director for Guerin. “We are fortunate to be surrounded and supported by incredible health care professionals who not only treat our kids with care and compassion but treat them like family members within our community."
Although any of the highly skilled Forté orthopedic specialists are available to Guerin athletes and their families, Drs. Porter and Smerek are the first to evaluate player injuries.
