As one of the largest, most comprehensive soccer clubs in Hamilton County, Indiana Fire Academy got its start in 2014 with the merger of Carmel United Soccer Club and Westfield Youth Soccer Club. The club is based at Grand Park Sports Complex and is a Chicago Fire Soccer Club affiliate.
Forté Sports Medicine is the exclusive provider of sports medicine for the club, contributing two certified athletic trainers to cover day-to-day practices, tournaments and games at Grand Park. Our athletic trainers offer comprehensive orthopedic expertise, from injury prevention consultations and sports injury treatment to injury checks and concussion management.
The Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics team is available to treat Indiana Fire Academy athletes and family members with Matthew Negaard, MD serving as the club’s physician champion. Dr. Negaard developed a passion for medicine through the influence of his parents – an athletic trainer and an intensive care nurse. He has contributed research and education in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injuries, as well as a variety of emergency medicine topics.
