The White River Township Fire Department is committed to saving lives and protecting property serving a 26-square-mile area and a population of about 52,000 people. The Department employs full and part-time firefighters who at any time are called on to make bad situations better. Their work is hard and dangerous, which requires them to perform difficult physical activities like professional athletes.
Forté Sports Medicine’s First Line Tactical Athlete Program (FSM FLTAP) is a proud partner of the White River Township Fire Department. The FLTAP embeds a full-time athletic trainer into the Fire Department to provide health care to the men and women who serve the community. The partnership also includes screenings, patient education, individualized preventative programming, thorough on-site evaluation, imaging, and rehabilitation services which often result in direct referrals to our fellowship-trained Forté physicians.
“Tactical programs offered by Forté care for our firefighter’s health by focusing on physical training. This keeps our firefighters, EMT’s and Medics physically prepared to make a positive impact on someone’s life. Forté’ has been able to treat our firefighters’ injuries and get them back to duty in the firehouse quicker than ever before,” said Fire Chief Jeremy Pell.
