North Central High School has been educating students in Indianapolis since 1958 and has become the 5th largest high school in the state. The school is enriched by an ethnic, racial and religiously diverse student population. It strives to inspire its students in an environment that aligns with its school motto of “Achievement through Scholarship, Honesty and Respect”. North Central offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum and a multitude of competitive sports through their athletic programs.
Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics has partnered with Franciscan Health to provide expert care for training and medical needs of North Central High School’s athletes. Forté provides a physician champion to evaluate, care for and help prevent injuries, and Franciscan provides on-site athletic trainers for physical therapy and athletic training.
Although any of the highly skilled Forté orthopedic and sports medicine specialists are available to North Central High School athletes, Lance Retting, MD and Kevin Condict, MD serve as the school's physician champions. Dr. Rettig graduated from North Central High School and is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand, wrist and elbow. He also serves on the Indianapolis Colts medical staff as a team physician. Dr. Condict specializes in sports medicine and he is a total joint replacement surgeon. He is a former collegiate athlete that enjoys giving back to and remaining active in his community.
