Orthobiologics / Regenerative Medicine

When you’re accustomed to living an active lifestyle, the last thing you want is to be sidelined from your life because of orthopedic pain. Orthobiologics and regenerative medicine has been an emerging field in orthopedic and sports medicine that provides alternative treatments for musculoskeletal conditions. It uses natural substances to optimize the healing of orthopedic injuries and conditions. Our interventional pain management team provides options for how this approach could improve your condition.

What is Regenerative Medicine?

The American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM) defines regenerative medicine as an “interdisciplinary therapeutic approach that aims to repair, replace, regenerate, and/or rejuvenate lost, damaged, or diseased cells, tissues, organs to restore or establish normal form and function.”

What are Orthobiologics?

The American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM) defines orthobiologics as the “use of biological substances to enhance biological healing of orthopedic injuries or alter the natural course of an orthopedic disease.” Orthobiologic treatments have not been authorized by the FDA and are considered experimental by the FDA.

Testimonials

Keith

PRP Patient

I had been dealing with hip pain for several months. I was expecting to be told that I needed hip replacement, but Dr. Negaard instead found another diagnosis. Between physical therapy and the PRP injection, I’m pain-free and enjoying the rest of my retirement.

Scott

PRP Patient

Thanks to Dr. Negaard and his amazing team for fixing both of my arms and enabling me to play golf again! I went from being completely sidelined to back in the winner’s circle!

Ryan

Within two weeks of the procedure I had 70% pain relief. The PRP alone is a good resource. That tied with physical therapy made the difference for me.
