For Dr. Tyler McCarroll starting his practice at Forté is the culmination of a lifelong dream. Growing up as the son of one of our founders and sports medicine orthopedic surgeons, Dr. John McCarroll, he often accompanied his father to high school and collegiate football games, spending time on the sidelines and gaining early exposure to the world of sports medicine. His own experience as a collegiate soccer player at Indiana University further deepened his understanding of athletic demands and injuries. Dr. McCarroll specializes in athletic injuries around the knee as well as comprehensive hip surgery.
A native Hoosier, Dr. McCarroll attended Carmel High School. While earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Indiana University, Dr. McCarroll was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in Men’s Soccer, inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high honors. He earned his medical doctorate from Indiana School of Medicine and then completed orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University.
Dr. McCarroll has published peer reviewed journal articles and serves as a reviewer for both the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. McCarroll enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include golf, running, hiking, and backyard sports with his children.
