Dave “Wally” Walston is a certified athletic trainer with Forté’s First Line Tactical Athlete Program, an innovative program that provides Central Indiana first responders with in-house preventative care, health maintenance support, injury triage and rehabilitation, as well as direct access to its highly skilled orthopedic surgeons. Dave currently works on-site with the Greenwood police and fire departments after serving as an athletic trainer for the Indianapolis Colts for nearly 30 years. Used to working with the pressure of returning professional athletes to play, he relishes this opportunity and says it’s very rewarding to serve those who serve others. Dave was first inspired to pursue his career after being introduced to his high school coach’s college athletic trainer. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, gardening, coaching youth lacrosse and serving on the board of directors for a Central Indiana nonprofit, Pathway to Recovery.
