Address your pain when cycling with a complete evaluation of the biomechanics of your pedal stroke with our Bike Fit specialists.
Whether you’re a recreational rider or an all-in-amateur, we offer Central Indiana’s only physical therapy-based bike fit program. Our onsite clinical bike-fitting program employs PTs that have special training in bike fitting and are riders themselves.
From back pain to numbness in the hands and fingers, we apply our comprehensive knowledge of the anatomy and biomechanics to assess your particular pain point. During patient fittings, we often find the issue is not only how the bike fits, but also an issue related to a particular part of the body that can often be helped through strengthening exercises.
“One of my patients was unable to train at her desired level due to back pain while riding her bike,” says Nate Mejeur, PT, DPT, Forté Noblesville clinic and Bike Fit manager. “We evaluated her movement, range of motion, and overall strength, as well as adjustments to her bike. I gave her a strengthening program to do at home and within two rides, she was back to riding and training at her previous level.”
Bike fitting appointments can be billed through insurance as a PT visit if part of an ongoing PT episode, or if a PT evaluation is medically needed. We also offer a cash pay option of $150.
