Dr. Kelly Graner is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of hand, wrist and elbow conditions. She has been in practice since 2016 and treats issues associated with, but not limited to, nerve compression, tendonitis, fractures, tendon or nerve injury, cyst or masses, infection and arthritis. In 2023, Dr. Graner was awarded the Franciscan Healing Hands Award, which recognizes physicians for excellence in clinical skills, patient relations, and exemplifies Franciscan values. Dr. Graner graduated from DePauw University with her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Spanish. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Graner completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Beaumont Health System, Royal Oak, Michigan and her Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Graner prioritizes spending time with patients to understand symptoms and the impact they have on daily activities. This approach to patient care allows her to best evaluate and treat patients in a timely manner. She was fortunate to spend time on service trips through college that focused on providing health care to underserved areas. This, in addition to experiencing various sports-related injuries personally, sparked Dr. Graner’s interest in pursuing medicine and guided her path to orthopedics. She enjoys getting to know her patients and having the ability to educate them on conditions they may be affected by, what treatment options are available, and figure out the best path to resolve and/or improve their symptoms. Dr. Graner feels it is important to take each patient's age, activity level and goals for quality of life into account to determine the best treatment plan.
In her free time, Dr. Graner enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and participating in anything that involves swimming or other water sports with her husband and their two children.
