McKenna Witlin

First Line Tactical Athletic Trainer

McKenna Witlin is a certified athletic trainer with Forté’s First Line Tactical Athlete Program, an innovative program providing orthopedic care to first responders. As a Master of Science in Athletic Training, McKenna has been instrumental in developing and instituting department-wide testing to assess firefighter and paramedic fitness. Having many friends and family working in the tactical space, her passion is to provide specialized care and support to optimize physical performance for those who serve as the backbone to provide safety to communities. McKenna’s favorite part of being embedded within Bargersville Community Fire Department is to experience the day-to-day of the firehouse firsthand and obtain a better understanding of what the tactical athletes experience while growing a close, personal relationship with them. She combines her love for strength and conditioning and passion for athletic training to help others not just return to their previous level of function, but to come back stronger and more resilient than before injury. McKenna found athletic training combined her passion for sports and desire to make a direct and lasting impact on others to not only support athletes but also be part of their journey toward recovery and performance improvement. When away from work, McKenna enjoys the outdoors, working out in a powerlifting gym, reading books and cheering on the Buckeyes.
