Elizabeth (Liz) McCabe

Tactical Athletic Trainer

Elizabeth (Liz) McCabe is a certified athletic trainer for Forté’s Tactical Athlete Program, an innovative program that places athletic trainers with public safety and first responders to optimize their health. Liz’s role as an athletic trainer allows her to combine her love of the concept of movement as medicine with her love of service, which she inherited from her military parents. Prior to joining Forté, she studied at the University of Iowa where she had clinical rotations with the gymnastics, swim/dive and baseball teams. Liz was first exposed to tactical athlete training during her immersive semester with Forté’s program and couldn’t be happier to be back serving public servants . In her free time, Liz enjoys weightlifting, spending time outdoors, trying new coffee shops, reading books and watching baseball. Although her family is spread out across the country, she cherishes spending time with them and is proud of her “World’s Coolest Aunt” coffee mug.

My goal is to optimize my patients’ physical health so that they are not limited at home or on the job. One of my favorite parts of this career is making creative rehabs for patients in physically demanding jobs.
