Samantha Barnett

Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant

Samantha Barnett is a board-certified physician assistant who believes education is key to empowering patients to take ownership of their post-operative regimen and feel confident that the work they put in will lead to a successful outcome. She believes education also helps patients set realistic expectations for the journey to recovery and minimize unnecessary concerns along the way.

Samantha specializes in orthopedic surgery, such as adult hip and knee replacements, and has experience with robot-assisted surgeries, including total knee replacements, partial knee replacements and direct anterior approach total hip replacements.

Samantha was drawn to orthopedics due to the reproducible and visual enhancement in a patient’s mobility and quality of life following a joint replacement. She’s also drawn to the specialty due to the elective nature of the treatment, which allows patients to move through treatment options at their own pace and play an active role in deciding next steps in treatment. In her free time, Samantha enjoys photography, woodworking and traveling. She is married with two daughters.
