Samantha Ray is a certified athletic trainer with Forté’s Tactical Athlete Program, an innovative program in which athletic trainers are embedded with public safety personnel to deliver specialized care. Samantha is currently serving on - site with Bloomington’s police and fire departments after first gaining years of experience in DIII collegiate athletics. She worked with athletes at Franklin College across a variety of disciplines, including volleyball, cheerleading, and men’s and women’s cross country and track and field. Samantha says her clinical interest has always been around movement patterns, compensations and creating rehabilitation programs to correct those compensations. This skill set helped her make the transition from studying runners’ body mechanics during sports to treating public safety personnel. In her free time, Samantha and her husband love to spend time outdoors on a boat or a kayak and camping with their two dogs, Winnie and Teddy. Samantha enjoys crafting, cooking , baking, and more recently discovered a love for growing her own produce.
